Pai Gow Poker
The game
Pai Gow Poker is one of the least played online casino games and it is a card game that uses a 53-card deck consisting of a the usual deck of 52 cards plus an additional card which is a Joker.
The player will be given seven cards, which he/she must then be place or as it is better known "set" two hands which are then compared with the dealer's two hands to determine who the winner is.
The rules of Pai-Gow Poker are simple:
You have to remember that in Pai Gow Poker the 5 card hand always must rank higher than the 2 card hand and that the
cards are ranked according to standard poker rules.
The Joker is wild in as much as it can only be used to complete straights or flushes, otherwise it will count as an Ace,
and at all times the
Dealer wins any copied hand
You will beat the dealer and win if
your 5 card and the 2 card poker hand outrank the dealers hand.
You will lose the game when:
Both your 5 card and the 2 card poker hand are outranked by the dealers hand or when the
dealer outranks either of the two hands and the other hand is a copy.
It is possible to push (like in the online casino game blackjack) and this occures when
the player wins one hand and the dealer wins the other.
You should before you play, be aware of the ranking of the hands and the card values.
The hands are ranked just like you would find in a standard game of poker with one small difference and this is the Ace-2-3-4-5 straight is the second highest straight.
The rank of
straights are always from highest to lowest for example,Ace-K-Q-J-10, Ace-2-3-4-5, K-Q-J-10-9 etc. Also, always remember that the best two-card hand is a pair of aces and the two-card hand cannot have a flush, as a flush always requires 5 cards of the same suit..
